A couple of weeks I was in Rome.
Were just a few hours, but enough to realize how much I love this city
and with so much traveling around the world had almost forgotten. Rome is many cities is, I'm not saying anything new insurance. In my case it was many years since I visited and because my plan was to ship from Civitavecchia on a cruise to the south of Italy, took the opportunity to fly a day before and enjoy, if only for a few hours, this city I I (re) love.
My first thought when organizing this trip to Rome was realized that if I wanted to take the few hours he would spend in the city, had to find a downtown hotel where I did feel better than good and that allowed me access to almost anywhere in the central Rome. I found these in the Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto , an oasis in the middle of chaos, discreet luxury and without fanfare of which I had not experienced. It is a relatively small hotel, only 116 rooms, simple and very cozy. Freaked literally he toured with his mouth open the splendid collection of art hanging on the white walls. Impressive works of Picasso, Dali and Guttuso that can be admired throughout the hotel, from the lobby to the hallway of any plant. Is it or is not a luxury? The room I was in an Open Suite, are vast and marble bathrooms with bath and shower (is there anything better than a good bath salts after a marathon day on the streets of any city?). Highlight, of course in addition to its location, the comfort of their beds, I would have stayed the whole day in mine, and their great breakfast where, in addition to the buffet, you can choose à la carte. I chose, I am a girl of principles, some delicious Eggs Benedict that were, like everything in this hotel, in the perfect spot.
Since I had not much time, I recognize that I considered not walk
around Rome in 5 hours, so I was almost shot made two of my favorite
places. One of them is, of course, the magical Trevi Fountain, where you flip a coin if you want to return to Rome. In my case there were many people who almost have to throw from the balcony of the house opposite, but certainly worth it. So once taken the photo of rigor, hence I went to Piazza Navona
without forgetting the best of course, the Roman atmosphere that fills
the narrow cobbled streets, restaurants and shops of the most authentic
Rome. By the way, I tried to find a branch that Officina Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella
in the city, but to my surprise, when I got to the address no longer

and although the menu is short, is good and not expensive (in Rome there
is nothing cheap, we already know all). Etabli is also famous for Sunday brunch but I had no chance to try it, so I pointed to the next.
20 meters from this restaurant is the Bar del Fico, the starting point of the Roman intermiable night and where I advise you to take a drink because the site is unique. A little rogue, a little loud ... but just great, as everything that happens in the wonderful city of Rome.
