Getting to door in Grau Roig

As the title says, sleep on the slopes is, without doubt, the dream of every skier, and oddly enough, is not so easy to find. Today I share with you a little secret I discovered winter during a trip to Andorra last month; a lovely hotel on the slopes in Grandvalira where, after sleep in absolute quiet, just 20 meters to go up in a chairlift and start skiing. Today we check in at the hotel Grau Roig , Andorra.
Luxury Hotel in Andorra
It was Friday, it was very cold and snowy in Grandvalira (one of my resorts favorite ski), so everything presaged that was before a perfect weekend of skiing. Plus, I had reserved a room in a small hotel both I had heard about but had never had a chance to enjoy, so the travel plan could not be more perfect. Located in Encamp, Grau Roig, this luxury hotel in Andorra has everything a traveler could want. And of course it does not take skier to enjoy it, but if you are, no doubt that much better.
No stop snowing and upon entering the hotel, everything was attentions, I definitely think that in addition to all the luxurious facilities of the hotel or how comfortable are the rooms, the real added value of Grau Roig lies in the friendliness and willingness of his staff make you feel at home from the moment you walk in the front door of the hotel. It also has a fireplace in the entrance, so that those who are regular readers of Bon voyage , know that with me, at that moment I saw her, and had many points earned.
Grau Roig hotel room
The chronicle of my weekend is summarized in 48 enjoy relaxing hours between the thick walls of the hotel Grau Roig, as the snow was intense that weekend I could just make a couple of downhill tracks, albeit with l better virgin snow on which I have skied in my life. Although it was in the middle of nowhere whiter than you can imagine, it turned out to be a weekend of highly entertaining, not only because I was fortunate to stay in one of its modern suites with a huge bath (large tubs yes please) from where there was not left or breakfast, but because the entire hotel is focused by and for travelers.
It has a spa, a great menu of massages, a small sitting room with fireplace where you can read, play games or simply have a chat with Dunia, the hotel manager who lives and to meet the needs of their guests while. Also, if like me, you are a lover of good food, I advise that you book your table in any of three restaurants (yes, three, thing that impressed me greatly when dealing with such a small hotel). I tried all three, of course, and although the concept of the Teatro del Vino (a sincere tribute to haute cuisine paired with wine) loved it, I reckon it was at the dairy where most enjoyed. Small, very charming and Swiss inspiration, this mountain restaurant where traditional Andorran meal is served, is one of the best I've had lately. No one should leave without having tasted delicious cannelloni or shared a rich fondue; moreover, their wine list is impressive-and precious good and the sommelier, a charming guy you can chat and who learn a lot about marriage.

The nice thing as Grau Roig hotels is that they get make you forget the real purpose of the trip, a weekend of skiing, and manage to make it a fantastic weekend in the snow. We want to travel and where the hotel's own experience.

Tea time in Barcelona

It is winter, and although Barcelona have the good fortune to enjoy sunny days almost throughout the year, also makes cold and want to find places of refuge with a nice cup of tea in his hands. Now Bon voyage-Travel Blog we cross five teahouses, cafes or where they also serve good tea, which yield to the healthy benefits of this ancient beverage. Bless you.
Federal Café Barcelona
Federal Cafe : I begin this ranking of the best tea shops in Barcelona just talking about a place that is not, but where do serve the best Chai Tea Latte Barcelona. Federal is the fashionable place in Barcelona, perfect for brunch and afternoon reading accompanied by a good, clear, cup of chai tea. His recipe is a secret of the house and you try to follow the steps of the waiter as he prepared, it is impossible to know how he can be so rich. Finally, we must keep trying, but above all, enjoying it.

Usagui : traveling to the Far East at the hands of the Japanese tea house in Barcelona where besides delicious teas, also find authentic Japanese homemade pastries, and all without leaving the city center. On sweets, my favorite are those that are made with green tea (for loop the loop) as tarts, although mochis are also very popular. Prices are really reasonable and is a meeting point for Japanese in Barcelona, which is already a good sign.
Caj chai teahouse barcelona
Chaj Tai : In the Gothic Quarter, we get comfortable in one of the most famous tea shops of the city. It's a good place to enjoy another good Chai Tea Latte, Chocolate this time, and in general its rich teas from India, Vietnam, China ... It is quiet and relaxed and you can also accompany your drink with delicious cupcakes. Their games are really beautiful tea (not worth putting them in the bag before going through box, you are advised).
Tealosophy : A place where you can also take a good tea, buying it is always a good place. My friend Anna showed me this small little shop area of Gracia few months ago and since then I confess addicted to the original specialties appearing guarded from their shelves. There are many, but my favorite is " Barceloneando ", with a base of green tea and a delicious aroma Catalan cream that is truly irresistible. Besides teas, infusions also have many types ... of protein that not only man lives.
Caelum : My friend Anne of before, is the crack that has been teaching me little secrets of the city (remember that I am a resident Rioja Barcelona). It was thanks to her that I also met Caelum, and although it could not be defined as teahouse if we adhere to the strictest sense of the word, offers visitors a wide choice of rich teas, the best, you can accompany candy monasteries and convents in Spain as cortadillos puff, San Expidito bones or yolks San Leandro. Amen!

3 places I have not been (and will soon visit)

I love to travel, of course, but if I had to choose between traveling and organizing a trip, I would not know what to decide ... The thing is that I love cross-called "phases of the traveler" and really enjoy the inspiration, search, etc. especially with the inspiration, that's what I have too. Then when materializes everything that you take months planning and organizing, the feeling is great, but I know that when I return from a trip I feel a bit like 'empty' because I miss the endless strings of emails with hotels and restaurants all the research behind each and every trip destination.
This year I will travel to three places where I've never been (and some others which I love coming back as New York , Formentera   or the French Riviera ) and whose journey took time preparing. If you know them, I'd love to have your 'help' with advice and recommendations. And if you have not been, because I love you read my experience in these three great destinations to which I will travel this year:

1. A cruise through southern Italy: I have never done a cruise. I have a compelling reason to justify this statement, I guess it has not arisen and that they have always seemed like huge and full of people, so I release this year one. It will be a little different because it will be aboard one of the luxury ships of the shipping company Star Clippers, specifically the Royal Clipper sailing ship.

2. Visiting Sao Paulo: my trip responds to a more familiar than professional (the best reason!) Motif, and although he has never been one of my most desired destinations, I think I'll get a fantastic view of the city since the visit you with part of my family living there in the largest metropolis in the southern hemisphere. Also, I try to make a trip to Rio de Janeiro, one of the hottest cities in the world.
Sao Paulo
3. Relax in the Cook Islands: will the viajazo the year. The Cook Islands, located in some idyllic part of the South Pacific, between Hawaii and New Zealand. Come on, really far from Spain. I will visit two of its most characteristic islands, Rarotonga and Aitutaki, and I am sure that will be a week delivered to pleasure and good living of paradise.

What do you think these destinations? If you already know, I love reading your suggestions.

5 relaxed plans to do in Sitges

Few know that Sitges liveliest places. For family reasons I have the good fortune to spend many weekends in this beautiful city in the Costa del Garraf, located 40 kilometers from Barcelona, where something is always happening beyond bombings as the carnival or the film festival; a jazz band down the street, castellers in the middle of the square a typical Sunday, the popular fair ... here cover the Festivities last all year. No matter what, in Sitges there is always something to celebrate.
Celebrations aside, whenever I spent a couple of days in Sitges I like to make some plans that are essential (and if I like something, I repeat obsessively. I am a girl of customs). But beyond cinema and parties, here are my 5 favorite relaxed plans:
tapas in Sitges
1. Time of vermouth in the cable: there is only one thing that saddens me the best tapas bar in Sitges, and not having known before! Still I do not know how he found out, but it was a few months ago, and took nearly three years regulamente visiting Sitges; I have no forgiveness ... Open since 1940, is an institution in the city and its tapas are comparable to those of my dear Logroño (my way of measuring the quality of tapas). Rich and cheap, as it should be. They are the best whitewater in Sitges. And I'm not exaggerating ...
Sunset 2. An evening stroll through the church of St. Bartholomew and Santa Tecla. It is the most recognizable building in the skyline of the city and a symbol of Sitges. It is the church of the postcard. At his side, the colors are amazing sunset from the Plaza del Baluard on the Paseo de la Ribera. To the side of the church is the famous cannon, pointing out to sea, he protected the city from the relentless British attacks by sea.
3. A morning of golf at Club Terramar: can be, and I think it is one of the most beautiful golf clubs where I have been. Most of its 18 holes enjoying spectacular views of the sea and, although not cheap, worth it. It also has a pitch and putt for a little more amateur players. And do not even play golf no problem, thanks to its unique location, its cafe-restaurant is ideal for lunch or an aperitif.

4. A paella with sea in Cal Pinxo: a gastronomic institution in Sitges where to find, if you know the best, but a delicious paella, especially vegetables, my favorite. It overlooks the sea and excellent service. It is not cheap, that's the truth, because in addition Sitges is a pretty tourist town and that influences especially in the restoration, but well worth booking a table (essential) to eat at one of the best restaurants in Sitges.
Sitges
5. Beaches, coves and others ... You have to spend a morning, an afternoon or a whole day in any of the lively beaches of Sitges. I like very much the center as Fragata beach, next to the Church of St. Bartholomew (see point 2), but inevitably are always very crowded, especially in summer. If you have overwhelmed many people around, you can always opt for quieter areas like Terramar beach, facing the residential neighborhood of the same name.
