Motorola announced in its official blog, the launch of two smartphones to the US market on Tuesday (27). The Turbo Droid 2 is the second generation of the cell that arrived in Brazil in 2014, with minor modifications, such as Moto Maxx. But the Droid Maxx 2 is the new model of a device launched in 2013 and which was never released in Brazil.
Motorola scheduled for Thursday (29) an event for journalists to launch a new smartphone. It did not help the model name or your specifications, in the invitation but said it would be a phone "who understands you and will not break your trust."
The phrase used in the call Motorola reinforces the possibility that the Droid 2 Turbo is also released here, possibly as the successor to the Droid Turbo. The handset carries the distinction of Moto ShatterShield, announced by the company as the "first unbreakable screen the world." The disclosure text explains that the screen has five layers of materials that absorb the shock of impact, without giving more details on this feature.
Other specs of the Droid 2 Turbo: Snapdragon 810 quad-core processor with 2.0 GHz; battery that promises up to 48 hours of life and charger that generates up to 13 hours of energy in just 15 minutes; rear camera of 21 MP front and 5 MP; Quad HD screen of 5.4 inches; 64 GB more storage expandable internal memory with microSD card; and customizing colors via Moto Maker.
There were developments in the new device compared to Droid Turbo 2014 in the categories front camera (2 MP was the Maxx) and screen (it was 5.2 inches), but an apparent decline from the processor, which had 2.7 GHz in the first version.
The Droid Maxx 2 also features long battery life, with up to 48 hours of power, and fast loading giving eight hours of energy in just 15 minutes; rear camera of 21 MP (nothing was said about the front); HD screen of 5.5 inches; and microSD card slot; and rear of various colors.
The new Droids will be available online and in American stores starting this Thursday (29). The Turbo 2 will cost US $ 624 (about R $ 2,400), while the Droid Maxx 2 will for $ 384 (R $ 1,490). The Brazilian Moto Maxx went on sale in late 2014 by R $ 2,199 and can now be found for $ 1500.
