The
Windows 10 received its first major update, with the internal code name
Threshold 2. The update, to be expected since the launch in July, it
stands out for bringing new features beyond just security enhancements.
Microsoft highlighted three major changes, but there is much more to enjoy in the new version of the system. The Next Web has organized a list of innovations that go beyond what the official blog announces:
Stream video by Edge: The feature allows you to stream video to other devices that support Miracast or DLNA. You can stream a YouTube video to the Xbox One, for example, or for a chromecast. However, copyright protected services are still out of reach, as is the case with Netflix.
New messaging application: Windows 10 has a new app for messaging that is integrated with Skype. He was recently released and is still in the testing phase, but already allows respond to messages from a notification. If you have a Windows Mobile smartphone 10, the Cortana assistant (still unavailable in Brazil) also lets you send SMS messages bridging the gap with the cell.
Resize windows fixed: when the user has two windows side by side with the snap feature, simply drag one of the screens to the center and the two will be resized at once. This saves the time of having to adjust the edges of a window of time.
Improved tablet mode: those who use Windows 10 on a tablet mode can now exchange a fixed window sliding the screen left of the finger to the center. Also, just slide your finger down to close an application.
DPI adjustment Fast: High resolution screens normally adjust the content so that it does not seem so small. However, sometimes the user prefers the small content to have more free space. Now, when a person makes the DPI setting, the changes are applied immediately.
Tinted windows: Now you can choose the color of the application title bar, which is done in Settings> Personalization> Color application.
Start menu wider: Now you have an extra column to secure applications from the Start menu. The fixed limit Apps that space was also increased from 512 to 2048.
Memory management: The system now compresses the unused pages instead of allowing record them on your disk. Briefly, you can consume less RAM and be more responsive, which will make a difference to the more modest computers with less memory.
Speed Shift: This feature serves to newer processors, the Intel Skylake generation (the sixth generation Intel Core). The innovation allows the clock speed of the processor change more quickly, which is particularly useful for laptops and can generate more battery saving
Nested virtualization: The complicated name refers to the ability to run a virtual machine inside a virtual machine. That is, you can run Windows 10 in Windows 10 in Windows 10.
