The
Portugal Telecom Foundation (Fundação PT) and the Regional Directorate
of Education of Madeira signed another protocol, under which ICT
solutions will be installed for accessibility in four school libraries
Madeira.
This protocol is part of the support program of the PT Foundation to the national grid School Library, which provides support to create accessibility Centers, aimed at integrating students with special needs between the 1st and 3rd cycles .
In Madeira, will this first phase covered the EB1 / PE Lombo Guinea (Calheta), EB1 / PE Ribeira Brava (Ribeira Brava), EB1 / PE Ribeiro Domingos Dias (Funchal) and EB1 / PE Viscount Cacongo (Funchal) In all, more than 634 students will take the advantage of computer solutions and accessibility of ICT, such as PT Grid 2, the PT Magic Keyboard, the Braille display and an access chamber and control the look.
With these ICT solutions, libraries are provided with resources that promote access to reading, and the use and production of information: accessible books (e-books, audio books, books in braille), reading systems, augmentative communication solutions, and other products for access and use of the PC.
