Are further signs of a secret chamber in the tomb of Tutankhamun

A few days ago, a team of archaeologists began scanning the tomb of Tutankhamun by infrared thermography, a technique that had never been used in the tomb of the young pharaoh. The team just found new evidence supporting the theory that King Tut was not alone in that tomb.

It has long circulated the theory that there are still undiscovered secret chambers in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The Egyptian pharaoh had a premature death (at age 19), and is said to have been buried in a tomb in the Valley of the Kings that did not belong because hers was not yet built. In that tomb cut into the rock he lays supposedly none other than the queen Nefertiti , wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten, father of Tutankhamun.

Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. Given its location in the Valley of the Kings, it was among the few who escaped the plundering of grave robbers, and therefore it was found intact funerary equipment.
In September this year, a group of archaeologists found physical evidence that one of the walls of a hallway Hidden Camera (was sealed and painted over). As explained in National Geographic , roof lines suggest that the camera continuously, and the materials used in wall covering alleged camera does not coincide with those in the rest of the walls.

Now, the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities just reported the results of infrared thermography. The analysis conducted by archaeologists of the French association for the conservation of heritage (Heritage, Innovation and Preservation) supports the thesis of a secret camera.
The instrument has detected a subtle change in the temperature of the north and west walls that suggest that there may be not one but two sealed chambers. The next step is to continue with the non-invasive tests to determine with certainty whether it is cameras or thermography fail, but the evidence supporting the existence of more passageways in the small tomb of Tutankhamun accumulate.
Currently, there are no clear that the tomb belongs to Nefertiti signs, but if confirmed the existence of more cameras, are likely to contain more grave goods intact. It would be the archaeological discovery of the decade
