to those great sailors and explorers who arrived in Philippines

I am writing from the future, from the twenty-first century. Let me introduce myself, my name is Ivan, and I like both history and travel, many years ago I found myself filled with their lives and legacy.
I am writing from a Spain that has not changed much, as in his time, follow the same climb and demagogues always, but with different names. But both now and in their time, in the end as we know, is the ordinary people that leaves us good things, they will tell you not to know.

Philippines Spanish ships The truth is that I write a little about everything, you could say that this letter is like a letter of appreciation, esteem, respect and appreciation. I do it from the heart, and using my own means, in a format unfamiliar to you, is called blog, and the end is one of the many ways we create written in the times in which I have lived.
I must say that I returned yesterday from my second trip to the Philippines, and as I had the first time, I have become fascinated. As in the first time, this time I have not been able to stop and watch excited to cross paths again remember their names and thus his travels and lives.
Now it is no longer as before, traveling is no longer the epic of his time and hardly anyone traveling by boat, we do in large birds we call planes, and months is not long in coming to Manila as in his time. I must also tell you that although Spain not everyone remembers them, some people like myself, we keep remembering you and we marvel at everything they did. legazpi
In both Manila and Cebu I met again with their names and I could not help being moved deeply. It gave me goose bumps to see their names on a street in Intramuros , in Manila Metro stop on a street in Cebu or Fort San Pedro. All of it. together with some books he had in his backpack, they made me return back to their lives with their fascinating adventures and stories.
In Mala Easter Island and the coast of Cebu I could see his immortal legacy when looking at the endless blue of the sea. I was curious to be in another part of the world but also feel that sea as cercarno. I felt too much to see as the sun's reflection on the sea crossing to drop a new day.
In the infinite ocean I thought spot their souls and boats in which they were accompanied by so many brave sailors. I remember many times what was proposed Magallanes and Elcano was able to finish what epically, that feat is still alive in the annals of history, navigation and exploration.
Thanks to people like you, as a child I dreamed of going around the world and one day I could do it, although I must say it was obviously a very straightforward journey and that has nothing to do with the greatness of all their deeds and exploits.

I also tell them that the Philippines no longer Spanish colony in the late nineteenth century, also lost Cuba in the same year, 1898. The two countries were in the crosshairs of a country in North America is called the United States and is now the master of the world and the seas, and in its time it was Spain and our Portuguese neighbors.
Things and times change and evolve die, but what I have clear is that there are certain people who book history the privilege of getting into the hollow of immortality, and that's where you are.
Sometimes, when I saw the beautiful sunsets of the sun in the Philippines, he closed his eyes and imagined their lives on the deck of the boat and the coast sighted for the first time.
Now is the day to write this short letter and pay them my respect and humble tribute.
With affection and respect, wherever they are, I send a big hug to you and your sailors,
