To say that my dinner at El Celler de Can Roca
was a dream come true may be the clearest and simplest way to describe
my experience at the best restaurant in the world and proud holder of
three Michelin stars.
Like all good things, the issue was expected since a meal at this famous restaurant in Girona involves, of course, a long wait. For me, the book was a gift from my partner when I turned 30, but ended up enjoying it with 32 a few months ago.
Since then, I keep a fantastic memory that is not only in gastronomy,
and as I keep some photos and delicious menu, I decided to share with
you. Overall I liked everything very, very much.
The architecture and decor, the ambience, welcome, care, attention ...
but above all the food, of course, that in fact is what we came here.Could have eaten in a dark cave as long as everything was touched by the grace of the Roca brothers Joan, Josep and Jordi- three geniuses of gastronomy, each in his field, who achieved long ago put to Girona, and Spain, in the map of world cuisine .
Of the two menus you can choose, We opted for the more traditional , which is also a little shorter. .
The idea was to taste the most typical dishes from the kitchen to the
cellar were actually released into the starry sphere GironĂ this now
legendary restaurant The dishes were :
We began to 'eat the world' through the appetizers menu. A journey around the world through eleven interesting entrees. A mole poblano burrito Mexico representing a ceviche broth to Peru or the same for China with some delicious pickled vegetables with plum cream .
My favorite dish was definitely the first Menu, exaggerating -not an unforgettable apple and foie timbale with vanilla oil than I would have eaten 3. Or.
A similar start was followed by dishes such as Parmentier squid with smoked green pepper and sole grilled with oil green olive, pine, bergamot and orange that seemed rich, rich, especially soft sole, one of my favorite fish.
